Accommodation Portal

If you’re looking for the DS Portal, you are in the right place! Due to our office’s name change, it is now the Accommodation Portal, but its functions remain the same.

Student Portal

The Student Portal is your hub for managing your accommodations.

Getting Started

  • New Students: If you’re connecting to the Office of Accessibility and Accommodation (formerly Disability Services) for the first time, use the Student Portal to complete your intake form and upload disability documentation. Log in with your NinerNET username and password and click the “Submit Documentation” icon.
  • Current Students: If you’re already connected with our office, the Accommodation Portal is how you manage everything.
  • Newly approved students will need to schedule an Interactive Meeting with an accommodation coordinator to get Portal access.
  • Returning students without Portal access should schedule an appointment with an accommodation coordinator.

How Students Use the Accommodation Portal

The Student Portal is your go-to for:

  • Requesting accommodations and sending Accommodation Letters directly to your instructors.
    • Send Accommodation Letters near the start of each semester to ensure your accommodations are in place. Then follow up with your instructors to discuss your accommodations.
  • Scheduling tests, quizzes, and final exams at the OAA Test Center.
  • Requesting note-takers and downloading class notes.
  • Keeping track of your appointments with our office, including scheduled tests and finals.

Important Information

  • Need a Copy of Your Accommodation Letter? Once the letter is sent for the semester, you can download a copy: log into the Student Portal, click “Request Accommodation Letters,” and then “Get letter” next to the course. Note, letters aren’t saved in the Portal after the semester ends.
  • Scheduling Tests in the OAA Test Center: You’re responsible for scheduling your tests in the Portal, making sure to meet deadlines:
    • Fall/Spring: A minimum of 6 days before the test date.
    • Summer: A minimum of 3 days before the test date.
    • Final Exams: By the date listed on our website and in the Student Portal, if not sooner.
      • Note: Tests are not scheduled on Reading Day.
  • Trouble Logging In? Use your NinerNET username and password.
  • Questions or Support? Contact your assigned accommodation coordinator. If you’re not yet connected with our office, visit our webpage on getting connected for services.
  • Need Help with the Portal? Watch one of our pre-recorded webinars.

Faculty Portal

The Faculty Portal is your online hub for managing student Accommodation Letters and test requests.

What Faculty Can Do in the Portal

  • Access Accommodation Letters: View and confirm receipt of your students’ official Accommodation Letters.
  • Track Accommodations: Easily see which students in each of your courses have sent you Accommodation Letters.
  • Manage Test Center Requests: Review requests for students to test in the OAA Test Center.
    • Provide Test Details: Submit necessary test administration information.
    • Upload Test Materials: Securely upload exam materials for students testing with the Office of Accessibility and Accommodation.
  • Testing Resouces – Faculty Portal

How It Works

When a student with accommodations sends their letter or a test request, you’ll receive an email notification from disability@charlotte.edu or dstestcenter@charlotte.edu, respectively.

Logging In

Use your NinerNET username (e.g., “jsmith7”, not your email address) and password. Do not include “@uncc.edu” or “@charlotte.edu.”

Note Taker Portal

Students interested in volunteering to be a note taker will use the online Note Taker Portal to apply. Once selected, note takers will use the Portal to upload and manage class notes.
