Accommodation-Class Notes
The Office of Accessibility and Accommodation provides the accommodation of class notes to qualified students. This process uses volunteer note takers who are concurrently taking the class.
The need for class notes will be indicated on the letter of accommodation that is to be presented to you by the registered student.
Students not registered with the Office of Accessibility and Accommodation or those who have not been approved the use of this accommodation will not receive class notes.
Our office will email the class in order to secure a volunteer note taker.
You will not need to make any announcements requesting volunteer note takers.
This accommodation is to supplement the personal notes of the registered student. It is not intended to substitute the student’s own notes, attendance, or class participation.
Confidentiality of the student’s disability status is required by law. The student approved for this accommodation should never be identified, except at the student’s discretion.
If questions or concerns arise, please contact our office at 704‑687‑0040.
